A native of Gainesville, Tyson Riggins is a 3rd generation builder. Exposed to the building and construction industry at a young age, Tyson immediately knew he wanted to follow in his father and grandfather's footsteps. At the young age of 15, Tyson began drafting floor plans for local Gainesville builders who were building spec homes in large communities. These floor plans are still being used even today! Tyson graduated from Gainesville High School and then Santa Fe College, all the while mastering his drafting skills and learning in the field alongside his father, who taught him every trade involved in the build of a home. He spent several years working alongside his father, then another local custom builder before eventually partnering with Spain & Cooper Homes. As of 2022, Tyson became sole owner of Spain & Cooper Homes, a reputable name in the local custom builder world as it was originally started over 50 years ago by Tom Spain. As a highly respected and experienced draftsman and builder, Tyson has a proven track record for finding great properties to develop into communities as well as custom building individual homes. He has a true passion for building a quality home that he is proud to stand behind and enjoys being creative with his clients. Tyson and his wife, Amy, have three sons and enjoy boating and the beach in their off time.
Lauren Halvorson
If you haven’t met our amazing Interior Designer, you are missing out! Lauren offers interior design services exclusively to our Spain & Cooper clients, giving them a hands on and custom experience from beginning to end of construction. Not only is Lauren an exceptional designer, but she has become a project manager for our team as she knows the build process better than most in her field. On site daily, she is confirming selection deliveries and installations, comparing pricing and custom budgets and oversees vendors. Our clients often ask “What would Lauren do?” when faced with decisions during the build because Lauren truly knows our clients’ style and they trust her decisions. Within minutes of meeting with Lauren, she will learn your vision and excitedly share additional ideas for implementation. With a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Florida State University, she is extremely qualified and loves guiding clients through the design and build process from concept to completion. Lauren previously owned and operated her own Interior Design business, Lauren Durand Designs, before being recruited by Spain & Cooper Homes in 2018 to come on board full time to assist clients. Born and raised in Jupiter, Lauren and her husband, Drew, have two beautiful children. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with their children with the various sporting events or out hunting during season.
Taybin riggins
Taybin is Tyson's eldest of three sons. He was born and raised in Gainesville, FL and is looking forward to following in his father's footsteps. He graduated from Buchholz High School and is currently a full time college student studying building construction. In addition to focusing on his academics, Taybin also is getting hands on experience, working in the Spain & Cooper office and at our on-site projects. We are excited for his future as a building contractor and love seeing his passion and drive come to life!
tiffany thomas
Tiffany is a full time Realtor and co-owner of Better Homes & Gardens Thomas Group alongside her husband, Matt Thomas. The couple opened Thomas Group in 2012 after having worked side by side since starting in real estate in 2006. Tiffany is a Gainesville native who graduated from the University of West Florida on an academic and athletic scholarship. Her competitive nature has driven her to be a leader in the local real estate sales world and helped her gain years of experience both in new home sales and residential re-sales.
Tiffany is our Spain & Cooper builder representative/sales agent and knows all there is on the building process. She is typically our clients' first impression, introducing them to our overall process of how we work, finding the best lot/property, selecting/designing a floor plan, features and fine tuning all of the details to get the home build process started!

Meet our second builder representative, top-performing Realtor, Holly Moebus, who is a proud member of the Better Homes and Gardens Thomas Group brokerage. As a dedicated professional, Holly has a passion for helping people find their dream homes.
